My name is Justin Burke, and I have been with Troy Davis Real Estate, also known as Action Realty since I got my license. My family has been part of the Oroville Community since 1996. I graduated from Las Plumas High School in the class of 2000.

Since moving to the Oroville area I have left and returned multiple times. The longest time away was when I joined the U.S. Army. The time in the service allowed me to learn how to be grateful for family and community.

After the military, I bounced around different jobs trying to figure out my next path in life. After living most of my life believing I'd never own a home, I decided to buy one. While buying my home I realized this looked like a career I could do and enjoy.

Many people believe real estate agents are just like "used car salesmen"—that all we want to do is get a paycheck and move on. I wanted to change that perspective: the paychecks are nice, but knowing I helped educate someone to understand how they can purchase a home that they enjoy is the true reward.

Unfortunately many people feel they will never be able to own a home just as I once believed. With the support of my office and team I helped many people become homeowners by educating them every step of the way so they understood the process.

I look forward to handing keys to many other future home owners.
